The UAE said on Wednesday it supported an “orderly” transition in Sudan where military leaders who toppled veteran president Omar Al Bashir are locked in a standoff with protesters demanding civilian rule.
Protest leaders were to hold talks on Saturday with Sudan’s military rulers who have so far resisted calls to transfer power to a civilian administration, leading figures in the protest movement said.
A committee of Sudanese protest leaders and army rulers on Monday resumed talks on forming a joint civilian-military council that would replace the existing ruling military body, an AFP correspondent reported.
The guests were asked to undergo a COVID-19 tests, and to present the negative result of the test before entering the house.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, on Saturday said it carried out 77,640 additional COVID-19 tests in the country over the last 24 hours, using the latest testing methods.
