The auctions will support the efforts of the "1 Billion Meals" initiative, the largest in the region to provide food support to the underprivileged and undernourished, especially children, refugees, displaced people, and those affected by disasters and crises.

The 13 countries where distribution has begun are Nigeria, India, Sudan, Jordan, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Egypt, Tajikistan, Uganda, UAE, Kosovo, USA, and Albania utilising the existing field and logistical networks of the initiative’s operational partners.
Dubai Duty Free, whose donation is equivalent to five million meals, is one of several UAE companies that are making a significant financial contribution to 1 Billion Meals initiative, which is helping to alleviate the hunger experienced by 800 million people worldwide every day.
Mubadala’s donation, which is equivalent to five million meals, will accelerate the initiative’s target achievement with preliminary distribution across Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, India, and Sudan, among other countries.
"Our cooperation with MBRGI in the ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign last year helped secure about 56.5 million meals in Palestine, Somalia, and refugee camps in Jordan and Bangladesh, by using advanced cash transfers that enabled beneficiaries," Mageed Yahia said.

The partners play a role in its various operations aimed at providing the equivalent of one billion meals to less fortunate people, especially children, refugees, displaced persons, and those affected by humanitarian crises and natural disasters around the world.
Talabat users can now contribute to the humanitarian initiative by donating easily and securely through the app, to provide vital food parcels and food vouchers to communities in need, by selecting one of the set donation amounts: Dhs10, Dhs50, Dhs100, Dhs300 or Dhs500.
