The Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF) returns for its 13th edition from Oct.26 to Oct.31, 2026.
Hosting film screenings, hands-on workshops, panel discussions and interactive activities at VOX Cinemas in City Centre Al Zahia and House of Wisdom, this year’s festival will feature an impressive showcase of 71 films selected from 38 countries worldwide.
To kick off the celebrations, SIFF is launching a pre-festival campaign featuring a mobile cinema bus, a classic school bus transformed into an intimate and fully branded movie theatre on wheels.
Touring key residential and family hubs across Sharjah from Oct.22 to 31, 2026, the bus will bring the magic of film directly into local neighbourhoods by operating daily between 4pm and 10pm.
Accommodating up to ten guests per screening, the bus offers families, children, and teenagers an exclusive short film experience and an accessible, high-energy preview of the main event.
Bringing cinema to the heart of communities, the SIFF bus serves as a high-impact experiential marketing platform designed to increase festival visibility, create direct audience engagement and strengthen the festival's connection with the communities.
By converting an everyday school bus into a moving theatre and festival experience, the campaign establishes a strong visual identity with an element of surprise, creating a memorable interaction that visitors can experience, photograph, and share.
Every visitor steps onboard to enjoy an exclusive short film screening, offering families an accessible taste of the upcoming festival.
This activation aims to introduce children, teenagers, families, and the public to the festival's programme and activities while encouraging overall discovery and attendance.
By taking the screening experience directly into different neighbourhoods across Sharjah, SIFF connects audiences with cinema in an unexpected way. Ultimately, this visually unique mobile experience fosters meaningful engagement and generates strong social media visibility ahead of the festival's main event.
