The tragic demise of 31 people and the injury of more than 160 others in the recent suicide blast at an imambargah in Islamabad is deeply painful and heartbreaking. Such horrific incidents are not only a national tragedy but also a stark wake-up call for the people of Pakistan and the country’s security institutions to stand united against terrorism with unwavering resolve.
Pakistan has already paid an enormous price in its long struggle against extremism. More than 80,000 brave civilians and security personnel have sacrificed their lives to protect the nation from the scourge of terrorism. These sacrifices must never be forgotten, nor should they be allowed to go in vain.
To restore lasting peace and stability, Pakistan must adopt a firm and uncompromising approach toward terrorist groups. Zero tolerance for violence, hatred, and extremism is essential if we are to protect innocent lives and rebuild trust within society. Alongside security measures, unity among citizens and strong political will are equally important.
I firmly believe that the civilian government of Pakistan will take decisive steps to eliminate terrorism and ensure the safety of its people. Only through collective effort, determination, and justice can Pakistan move toward peace, stability, and prosperity.
