It’s a highly laudable verdict by the Abu Dhabi Court for Family, Civil and Administrative Cases, which fined a young man to pay Dhs15,000 to a girl who he threatened via SnapChat (“Abu Dhabi court fines a man Dhs15,000 for threatening a girl on SnapChat,” Nov. 23, Gulf Today website).
Criminal minded people use social media platforms to commit crimes, threatening and cheating people thinking they will get away with their wrongdoing.
I am sure the Abu Dhabi court verdict is a clear warning to a group of criminal people that no one has the right to insult or threaten others using social media. If they do, they will face the law and fines.
