Everybody has started talking about the Australian cricket team these days. Former Australian cricketers have started bashing their own team for their poor performance against India during the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

I think this is not justified. In a game if one team wins then the other has to lose. Critics should understand that touring teams always face a daunting task whenever they go outside of their country. Even playing against Bangladesh in Bangladesh is very tough, similarly playing in India against India is indeed a challenging task.

They should show some compassion for the players before training their guns at them. We should not forget that there was a time when the same Australia had dominated across all formats of the game. It is very natural that the team which goes up is bound to experience rough patches too. Let Australia play their natural game.

I am sure they will bounce back soon. They had been invincible in the past, so I am sure Australia will rise like a phoenix very soon. New captain Pat Cummings is also learning the ropes of leading his team, hence he requires a little time before he starts showing his class. We should not forget that he is one of the best bowlers we have at the moment hence we should respect him.
