A modest wish encapsulates the dreams of his childhood: to simply live. With this heartfelt desire, Anas, an eleven-year-old boy battling Duchenne muscular dystrophy, began his journey with this rare and devastating illness.
Holding tight to a fragile thread of hope, Anas and his family long for the chance that a groundbreaking treatment might save his life.
Anas Mohammed Allam, a young boy from Egypt, confronts a cruel and unrelenting reality as the disease slowly attacks his muscles, leaving him progressively weaker each passing day.
Amid the ordeal, an outpouring of kindness from compassionate donors has raised Dhs4.6 million toward his treatment. Despite this generosity, his family faces the daunting challenge of securing the remaining funds, Dhs6 million for a gene therapy injection.

Recognised as one of the most expensive medical treatments globally, it represents Anas's only shot at survival. Doctors warn that any delay in raising the necessary amount could irreversibly jeopardise his chances.
In a faint voice that embodies both pain and resilience, Anas shared, "The doctor told me this is my last chance for treatment to survive."
As his health deteriorates with every passing moment, so too does the fragile hope of his family. They are overwhelmed with profound anxiety, torn apart by the race against time to save their son."
Day by day, the illness takes its toll, leaving Anas's parents powerless against the worsening condition of their precious child.
