Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, is once again doing the rounds on the internet for his kind and humble approach towards a Kenyan toddler named Milan, who wishes to visit Dubai.
A Kenyan mother, Maria Nyambane, shared a video of her son crying over his strong desire to travel to Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan shared the clip on his Instagram Stories and wrote, “It will make me very happy to see you in Dubai, hopefully very soon.”
The toddler, Milan, also won hearts on social media with his innocence when he said, “Dubai is a planet.”
Maria captioned the video: “Here is how we handle big feelings when we are not sure. As his mum, I know his needs more than he does. I don’t yell or get frustrated. I calm down, acknowledge his feelings, reassure him, and help him regulate and cater to his needs. That’s love and care.”
In the video, Maria gently comforts her sobbing son, saying, “I don’t know how to make that jet, but I will work so, so, so hard to earn money to take you to Dubai. Is that okay? Now, can you breathe?”
The boy responds, “I need you to get me money and then we go to Dubai.”
She reassures him again: “Yes, I’ll get money and we’ll go to Dubai. I will work hard and take you there. Is that okay? First, breathe. I know you have big feelings, and I know you’re sad you’re not going to Dubai right now.”
The boy replies, “I need to go to Dubai right now… Dubai is good.”
The heart-touching conversation highlights the popularity of Dubai among children from different parts of the world.
The sports-enthusiastic Crown Prince is also an avid lover of nature and animals. His videos and photos regularly garner thousands of likes and comments on social media platforms. He has over 17.6 million followers on Instagram.
Hamdan’s Instagram bio reads: “Every picture has a story, and every story has a moment that I’d love to share with you. Thanks and enjoy.”
