As part of their “the Land of Talents” initiative, the Dubai Police Council for University and College Students has recently organised a visit to Dubai College of Pharmacy students to the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology at Dubai Police.

The visit, coordinated with the International Centre for Forensic Science at Dubai Police (ICFC), aimed to expose students to the various specialisations within forensic sciences and their practical applications.

This initiative aims to acquaint students with scientific disciplines at Dubai Police, allowing them to see how theoretical concepts learned in universities and colleges are applied in practice.

It also provides interactive learning opportunities that enhance critical thinking and the practical application of academic concepts in the future.

Additionally, the visit to the General Department of Forensic Evidence and Criminology aimed to enable students to interact with forensic evidence and criminology specialists.

This interaction is intended to help students understand the challenges these professionals face and the importance of their roles in maintaining safety and serving justice.

Recently, the Forensics Conference, as part of the World Police Summit, addressed seven scientific tracks and the current challenges in the field of forensics, global trends in leading law enforcement agencies, and the scientific and technological developments taking place worldwide.

Major General Ahmad Thani Bin Ghalita Al Muhairi, Director of the General Department of Forensics and Criminology at Dubai Police, emphasised the significance of the Forensics Conference as a catalyst for progress in the field.

He highlighted that the conference sheds light on the latest scientific and technological advancements in forensics, which have the potential to revolutionise various aspects of crime scene investigation, evidence analysis, criminal identification, judicial pursuit, proactive measures, and predictive techniques in criminal investigations.
