Public parking areas to be free on New Year's day in Sharjah

The regular paid parking system will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.

The Sharjah Municipality, on Saturday announced that the public parking users in Sharjah City would be exempted from parking fees on Monday, January 1, 2024, on the occasion of the New Year.

The regular paid parking system will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the Municipality added. 

It also explained that this exemption does not apply to the seven-day paid parking zones, which are operational throughout the week and official holidays. These zones are identified by the blue parking information signs.
