UAE issues weather alert for the week with heavy rain, hailstorm on May 2

The National Center of Meteorology confirmed on Sunday that the UAE was affected by a weather condition accompanied by rain starting from Sunday, April 28 until Saturday May 4, 2024.

The center indicated that from Sunday to Wednesday, local rainy cumulus clouds will form with the possibility of some hail falling on the eastern regions, extending to some interior and western regions.

The authorities added from Wednesday evening to Thursday, the country will be affected by a surface depression extending from the Red Sea with an air depression from the northwest, leading to various cloud formations, interspersed with cumulonimbus clouds, accompanied by moderate to heavy rain falling on separate areas, with lightning and thunder at times, with the possibility of some hail falling.

It begins in the west on Wednesday night and extends over most regions of the country on Thursday, and is concentrated in the western regions, the coasts, and some eastern regions. He stressed that on Friday and Saturday the amount of clouds will gradually decrease, with the continued chance of light to moderate rain that may be heavy in some southern and eastern regions.
