Binghatti Holding supports '1 Billion Meals Endowment' campaign with Dhs15m

Binghatti Holding has pledged Dhs15 million over a period of 3 years towards the "1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The campaign aims to establish the largest Ramadan sustainable food aid endowment fund to provide a food safety net for underprivileged populations and support the global endeavour to eradicate hunger.

Binghatti Holding's contribution supports the food aid endowment fund and its objectives, further establishing the UAE’s humanitarian role regionally and internationally. The campaign is organised by Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan and highlights the UAE’s commitment to helping communities and individuals in need around the world.

Muhammad BinGhatti, CEO of Binghatti Holding, expressed his appreciation for the "1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign, stating that it reflects the UAE's vision for sustainable charity and helping underprivileged communities. He added that contributing to the food aid fund aligns with their social responsibility and the noble values of the UAE community.

The "1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign builds on the success of previous food aid campaigns, including the "10 Million Meals” campaign in Ramadan 2020, which exceeded its target and provided 15.3 million meals. In Ramadan 2021, the "100 Million Meals” campaign doubled its target and distributed 220 million meals, thanks to the contributions of 385,000 donors from 51 nationalities. The "1 Billion Meals” campaign, launched in Ramadan 2022, hit its target in under a month and provided meals in 50 countries around the world with the support of 320,868 donors.

The "1 Billion Meals Endowment” campaign is seeing a remarkable response and continues to welcome donations and contributions to the endowment fund from institutions and individuals across five main channels including the campaign’s website (www.1billionmeals.ae), as well as a dedicated call centre via the toll free number (800 9999).

Donations are also possible via bank transfers in the UAE dirham to the campaign bank account number with Emirates NBD (AE30 0260 0010 1533 3439 802).

Donations via SMS give contributors the option to donate Dh1 daily through a monthly subscription, by sending the word "Meal” to 1020 for du users, or to 1110 for Etisalat by e& users.

Those who wish to donate to the campaign through the DubaiNow app can do so by clicking on the "Donations” tab.
