Global Village created a mosaic that read "100,000,000 meals," using 2,500 lanterns, in support of the national campaign recently launched by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI).
The “100 Million Meals” campaign is open to individuals and companies — inside and outside the UAE- to donate the value of meals. Every Dhs1 provides the basic food items that can prepare one meal in beneficiary countries.
The campaign raised over Dhs78 million, equivalent to providing more than 78 million meals, as massive donations continue to pour in from individuals, companies and entities inside and outside the UAE.
“100 Million Meals” campaign, the region’s biggest food distribution drive, concluded on Saturday after drawing massive donations from 385,000 individuals, companies, businessmen and philanthropists across 51 countries through various donation channels and two charity auctions.
