The complainant affirmed that the institution did not return the amounts she had paid, in addition to the damages she incurred as a result of the cancellation of the exhibition so, she filed a lawsuit demanding that the appellee be obligated to pay her Dhs31,000 in compensation for the material and moral damages she incurred and the legal interest, as well as fees and expenses of the lawsuit.

The court indicated that, according to the papers and witnesses’ testimonies, the complainant agreed with the institution to display her products in an exhibition organised by the latter, and accordingly, the complainant prepared the products to be displayed, but the exhibition was cancelled without notifying her.
