The Jordanian Eid Al Jabour joined to serve at the age of 15 in the Jordanian Arab Army, when he only had a primary school certificate, but he is now a Doctor of Philosophy of Jurisprudence.

Eid said that the big change in his life started while he was in the army when he could not read the writing on the buttons of the weapons, so his complete ignorance of the English language was his first motive to complete his education.

He added that one day he was travelling on a private flight to one of the countries, and he was unable to understand the conversation of a flight attendant with children next to him.

She asked them to speak in English, so as not to let him understand what they were saying.

He said he felt very embarrassed and his life changed as he started studying high school immediately upon his return to Jordan.

He cleared school in his first attempt, but his marks were not sufficient to join the university.

He made several other attempts to improve.

After 35 years of military service as a lieutenant colonel, Jabour decided to end his career to start the university education, which he joined at the age of 50 when his eldest son had already completed his education in the field of medicine.

Al Jabour obtained the bachelor’s degree in Philosophy of Jurisprudence within 3 years, with a very good grade, and he decided immediately to continue to obtain a master’s and doctorate, which he passed with an excellent grade.
