Winter chill to continue throughout February

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expected that the UAE would be affected by the passage of depressions coming from the Mediterranean, during the month of February, causing unstable weather conditions, as the dusty south winds will be active, and rainy clouds are formed at times.

The NCM expected Thursday's weather to be clear to partly cloudy and dusty at times, especially in the west during the day, and low clouds will appear in the east, humid at night and on Friday morning over some interior areas with the possibility of fog or light fog formation.

Thursday’s winds, according to the NCM will be southeasterly, light to moderate, brisk at times at a speed of 15 to 25, amounting to 40 kilometres/h, during the day, and the sea will be moderate, turbulent at times in the depth of the Arabian Gulf, and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.

Friday’s weather, according to the NCM, will be partly cloudy in general and cloudy at times over some coastal and northern areas and islands, humid at night and on Saturday morning over some coastal and inland areas with a chance of fog or light fog formation.

Friday’s winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, gradually turning in the afternoon to northwesterly, moderate to active, stirring dust in the west, with a speed of 15 to 25, amounting to 40 kilometres/h. The sea will be light to moderate, gradually turning to turbulent in the afternoon in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
