November is part of the second transitional period and is characterized by moderate temperature during the day and a drop in temperature during the night, said the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The average maximum and minimum temperatures drop by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius than they were in October due to the apparent movement of the sun towards the south away from the region, it added.

The UAE is affected during the current month by the Siberian ambiance extending gradually towards the region, particularly during the second half of the month, the NCM added, noting that this would lead to a continued drop in temperature.

Hence, the temperature will tend to be cold sometimes, especially at night on mountainous areas and some inland areas, it said.

The NCM explained that the winds during November would be southeasterly in the morning but would turn to northwesterly during the day.

The winds might be active on some days of this month, especially with cumulus clouds, while relative humidity would also increase, especially in the early morning, due to moderate air blocks passing over the Gulf waters towards the state, thereby creating an opportunity for light and dense fog in separate areas, it added.

As for temperatures according to climatic statistics and historical records, the average temperature ranges between 24 and 25 degrees Celsius.

The average maximum temperature ranges between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius, while the average minimum temperature ranges between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius.

The highest temperature of 39.9 degrees was recorded in Sweihan in 2021, while the lowest temperature of 4.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jebel Jais in 2009.
