A gory video of domestic violence has surfaced on social media, where two brothers can be seen hitting their elderly mother and sister with hammer and a motorcycle helmet in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Saturday.

According to the video, which was uploaded by the woman’s son on his Facebook and Twitter accounts appealing to the Peshawar City Police Chief Abbas Ahsan to take action against his two maternal uncles, who attacked and badly beat up his mother and grandmother.

He also asked Ahsan to give the culprits an exemplary punishment.

Abbas Ahsan ordered the Bhana Mari Police Station, Peshawar, to arrest the suspects immediately.

Police later arrested the two brothers, Aftab and Arshad, sons of Abdul Hanna, from Amin Colony, Peshawar city. During police interrogation, the suspects confessed to their crime of beating up their sister and mother.

According to the brothers, the sister was asking her share of inheritance in their father’s property.

The sister told police, that her brothers bought 10 homes by using father’s money and when she asked for her share, they badly beat her up. The woman was shifted to hospital for treatment.

In the video clip, the two brothers are seen entering the room and asking their sister, why she switch on the motor to fill the water tank.She replied, that the tank was empty and so she switched on the motor.

In the video, the two brothers can be seen by pushing the sister on the floor and repeatedly thrashing her with the hammer and helmet.

At one point, when their mother tried to intervene to save her daughter, one of her sons slapped and pushed her to the floor violently.

The social media users demanded for strict punishment for bothers. They also hailed the Peshawar police for quick response. 

One twitter user said, that it was a painful to watch this video. The guy was actually using a hammer to beat the women, omg. Unbelievable atrocity!
