The Dubai Public Prosecution referred an Asian worker to the Dubai Criminal Court on charges of premeditatedly killing a businessman and his wife and attempting to kill their daughter.

The public prosecution revealed that the worker determined to kill the victim and his family while robbing their villa at night. The defendant entered the villa and stayed in the garden waiting for the family members to go to bed.

He, however, was surprised by the victim waking up and consequently stabbed him before he killed his wife who woke up when she heard her husband’s voice.

The defendant confessed during the public prosecution’s interrogations that he used earlier to work for the victim and knew the details of the villa and where the victim kept his money.

He went to the upper floor where he earlier knew that the victim and his wife kept money in their bedroom. In the meantime, however, the victim wok up and the defendant stabbed him several times. When the wife woke up, the defendant also stabbed her and tried to escape but was surprised by the victims’ daughter. The defendant stabbed her and ran away from the villa.

The court ordered that the defendant be remanded in custody pending prosecution.
