His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah approved, on Sunday, 175 employment opportunities for 116 men and 59 women within the Emirate of Sharjah, as part of the new batch of appointments.

The allocation of the new posts in the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah was as follows: Sharjah: 36 male jobs and 16 female jobs. Khorfakkan: 22 male jobs and 11 female jobs. Kalba: 25 male jobs and 16 female jobs. Dibba Al Hisn: 16 male jobs and 11 female jobs. Al Dhaid: 3 male jobs and one female job. Al Madam: 6 male jobs and one female job. Mleiha 3 male jobs and 2 female jobs. Al Bataeh: one male job and one female job. Wadi Al Helou: 2 male jobs. Al Hamriyah: 2 male jobs.

His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah has ordered the urgent employment of the following cases: 43 cases of orphans. 110 cases of low income families. 12 cases of divorcee women. 5 cases of a family supporting wife. 2 cases of persons with disabilities with academic qualifications. 3 cases of martyr’s families of low-income.

Earlier, Sheikh Sultan inaugurated the new headquarters of the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) on Mleiha road, Sharjah.

During the opening, Sultan spoke to the attendees stressing that developing the educational system is a comprehensive process that needs a collaborative effort of all parties.

“This is a happy day to meet here in the new headquarters of SPEA, especially as it coincides with one of the most beautiful occasions, that is the Teacher’s Day,” Sheikh Sultan elaborated.

Sheikh Sultan lauded the efforts of the SPEA teams during the summer break and the first month of the school year to ensure the preparedness of the schools to receive the students.

Sharjah Ruler also highlighted the importance of the dietary aspects in the education system including inspecting food outlets and canteens as well as spreading the awareness towards the importance of healthy food amongst the students.

Another aspect that was highlighted by Sheikh Sultan was the issues facing the teachers such as early retirement.

“We see many students getting high grades which brings the applause to their school teachers, while it is mostly the efforts of the private tutors who helped those students shine,” Sheikh Sultan noted.

In the same context, the Ruler of Sharjah suggested having private tutoring centres that hire retired teachers who prove their ability to teach and convey the information to the students in a manner that is helpful to the students.

Sheikh Sultan also stressed that private schools should not focus on the commercial side alone as they should help build the future generations in an attractive educational and fun environment.

During the opening ceremony, Sheikh Sultan also launched four educational electronic platforms that would help develop the private schooling system and support the educational community.

Last week, Sheikh Sultan received a number of senior Arab theater artists, presidents of theatrical institutes and captains of artists, guests of the opening ceremony of the SPAA, at the Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre for Gulf Studies (dara).

Sheikh Sultan explained in a speech to the guests that Sharjah and its cultural work was not born of the moment, especially in the field of theater, in 1955 the theater was able to contribute to the support of education through a play by students of Al Qasimia School to build additional classes for the school and accommodating the growing numbers of students wishing to learn.

He added that the theater in Sharjah continued to give by displaying what touches the people and and displays everything that reflects their reality and their lives, this approach has continued from those days to the present day.

“The fact that the Arab world has suffered from the emergence of extremist ideological currents has forced us in Sharjah not to limit our cultural mobility to the local level only, but extended to all countries of the Arab world and in various fields,” he pointed out.

Ruler of Sharjah affirmed, “The creation of a specialised academy in theater is one aspect of our work in the face of these currents, and education will extend to include the various sciences of theater, writing, lighting, fashion and music.”
