Sultan directs appointment of more than 300 citizens

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has given directions for the appointment of 389 university and high school graduates. This came during His Highness’ intervention via the Direct Line Programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio. His Highness directed that 25 university and high school graduates be assigned in Geological Park in Al Fayha, 30 in Wildlife Centre in Al Dhaid, 32 in Al Qarm Centre in Kalba, while 300 high school graduates be appointed in Sharjah Safari in Al Dhaid.

His Highness added that appointment procedures for the 161 graduates involved in the first batch have been completed and candidates have been registered in a training programme for new employees to promote their professional levels.

As for the second, third and fourth batches of appointments whose names have been shortlisted, His Highness said that government agencies have been addressed to take appointment procedures in two weeks , and candidates for appointment will be contacted beginning Monday to finalise appointment procedures. Those who have been shortlisted will be rehabilitated by the respective agencies.

Recently, Sheikh Sultan approved fresh 162 employment cases within the Emirate of Sharjah at a total annual cost of Dhs40 million.

This is part of the 4th batch of employment of the 6 categories ordered by Sheikh Sultan to be urgently employed, these being orphans, children of low income families, divorcees, family supporting wives, people of determination with 2018-2019 academic qualifications and martyrs’ family members of low income. The cost of the 562 employment cases approved by Sheikh Sultan as part of the previous three batches amounted to Dhs185 million per year. This brings to 724 the number of employment cases approved within 21 days only at a total annual cost of Dhs225 million.

This was announced by Ahmed Sultan while presenting the Direct Line programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio and TV. The 4th batch employment cases include 45 cases for orphans, 99 cases for low income families, 10 cases for divorcees, 4 cases for family supporting wives, 2 cases for people of determination with academic qualifications 2018-2019 and 2 cases for martyrs’ family members of low income, he said.
