An Emirati family had the perfect start of the Eid holidays with the birth of a baby at 00.01, a hospital in Abu Dhabi has announced.

“The happy parents received the best possible news to mark the end of the Holy Month with the birth of their baby on the auspicious day of Eid. They were overjoyed at their baby being the first one born on this day in the UAE,” the hospital said.

Parents Mohamad Yaser Al Shaikh and Kholood Salem Al Dhaheri said, “We have been blessed with a healthy baby, Ali Mohamad Al Shaikh, which makes our day even more joyous.

“The medical team and staff have taken excellent care of us and our family during this time, and we are thankful for their support. We want to thank the entire team for all their efforts.”

Dr Sausan Abdul Rahman, Consultant - Obstetrics and Gynecology expressed her happiness on the birth.
