Seven Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club referees certified by UAE Judo Federation

The UAE Judo Federation awarded certificates of success to seven referees from the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, coinciding with the recent Fujairah Open Judo Championship held at the Zayed Sports Complex in Fujairah.

The certificates were presented by Mohamed Jassim, Secretary-General of the Judo Federation, in the presence of Essa Bin Hweidan, Head of the Judo Clubs and Centers Committee in the Northern Emirates, and Ahmed Suleiman Al Bloushi, Head of the Referees Committee.

Mohamed Jassim praised the efforts of the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club in hosting the course, providing an ideal environment, and nurturing talented players interested in becoming national referees.

He noted that these efforts contributed to the success of the initiative and promoted the spirit of sportsmanship.

He congratulated the new referees and appreciated their high spirits, emphasizing that the initiative came from the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, was reviewed by the Referees Committee, and received support and encouragement from the federation’s Board of Directors. He added that the goal is for the new referees to continue developing sustainably, with the Federation committed to providing suitable refereeing opportunities and further training in the coming period.

In this context, Ahmed Saeed Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club, expressed appreciation for the efforts of the Judo Federation, the sportsmanship of the participants, and the role of the course supervisor and sports team administrator, Majid Khalaf Al Owais, in ensuring its success.

He addressed the new referees, urging them to seize opportunities for further development and success, and noted that this initiative is a key part of the club’s plans to invest in national talent and build a sustainable sports future.

The referees who received certificates of success are Mohamed Majid Al Owais, Omar Abdulaziz Shaheel, Mohamed Omar Al Muhairi, Mohamed Sultan Aqlan, Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Khaled Abdulrazzaq Al Haj, and Abdulaziz Al Loughani.
