Preparations in full swing to make Karate 1 Youth League in Fujairah a success

The Karate 1 Youth League will take place at the Fujairah Martial Arts Club from Feb.22 to Feb.25, 2024.

The organising committee of the Karate 1 Youth League, which will be held at the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, has announced that registration is still open due to the increasing demand for participation.

The committee confirmed that the final preparations are underway for the launch of this edition, which is scheduled to take place from Feb.22 to Feb.25, 2024.

This edition is considered one of the important stages of this tournament on a global stage and has received great attention from the organizing committee in the Emirate of Fujairah.

Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations and Vice President of the International Federation, welcomed the participants in this tournament, which reflects the UAE's interest in developing the sport of karate.

"We promise you an exceptional organization of the tournament and we welcome all participants in Fujairah, which hosting confirms the UAE's commitment to promoting the growth and development of karate,” said Major General Nasser.

Dr-Abdullah-Fujairah-Karate-750x450Dr Abdullah Al Badi says the opening leg of the Karate 1 Youth League is a crucial stepping stone as the young athletes can rack up points that could secure their ticket to the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games.

He added, "I take this opportunity to express my deep gratitude to the World Federation for its continuous support to the UAE Karate Federation and its confidence in our capabilities to host a prestigious event of this size. We appreciate this great trust and we promise to organize an exceptional event that will remain in the minds of everyone."

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Albadi, member of the Board of Directors of the Federation, Assistant Secretary General and Coordinator General of the tournament, confirmed that the past period witnessed the holding of many meetings to review all the arrangements for the tournament.

He said, "There is great cooperation between all parties to ensure that this edition comes out in the best possible way, at all organizational and technical levels."

"There is great competition between the participating players to collect points for the world ranking for the category between 14 and 18 years old in order to compete for qualification for the Youth Olympic Games Dakar 2026 in Senegal, as this tournament is the first round to accumulate points qualifying for the Youth Olympics,” he added.
