Dibba International Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship to take place at Meydan Hotel

The fourth edition of the Dibba International Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship will take place at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai.

Organised by Dibba Bodybuilding Centre under the supervision of Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, the two-day championship will begin on Aug.20.

 

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Bin Saif Al Sharqi, chairman of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, and a number of sports personalities will grace the event, which is sponsored by Green Valley Group, Olympia Gym, and Khansaheb Group.

 

The tournament is considered one of the strongest international tournaments organized in the UAE, with exciting competitions on the cards.

 

Salem Khamis Al Suraidi, head of the organizing committee of the championship, said: "The Dibba International Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship will witness competition in 26 categories in which 350 participants from all over the world will compete.

 

"The championship carries a prize purse of more than Dhs120,000, out of which Dhs10,000 will be awarded to the winner of the respective categories. More than 2,000 individuals are expected to attend the event."

 

Muhammad Abdul Rahim Al Marri, Secretary General of the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, described the Dibba Championship as one of the distinguished championships that are being held in the UAE.

 

"The federation and board of directors are eager to build on the success of the previous championships and hope to add fresh success that will help bodybuilding in the UAE make a qualitative leap.

 

"The tournament's organising committee will work hard to provide technical support for the event's success and that the national teams' technical staff will be there to monitor the players and help the standout ones who will represent the UAE in upcoming competitions," he added.
