Maysam and UAE riders shine on the second day of Sharjah International Show Jumping Championship

Jordanian rider Maysam Bisharat dominated the six bar competition at the 22nd edition of the Sharjah International Show Jumping Championship.

10 riders participated in the six bar event sponsored being held on the second day of the championship.

Sponsored by Sharjah Islamic Bank, the six-hurdles competition over 190cm witnessed intense battle.

The Jordanian cleared the hurdles without faults to reach the final round. Only three were able to seal the spot including Maysam riding Un Dollar De Blondel emerged winner after clearing the obstacles at a height of (180) cm.

Sultan Mohammed Khalifa Al Yahyaee, General Manager of the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, witnessed the competitions and crowned the winners.

Earlier, the first competition of the CSI3*, sponsored by Centro, took place at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club’s indoor hall.

UAE’s promising riders delivered strong performances in the event.

Saif Owaidah Al Karbi aboard the mare Good Luck 11 produced a perfect ride and cleared the eight barriers at a height of (130cm).

The Emirati rider finished ahead of his Jordanian rival Sara Hussein Saleh Al Armouti.

Omar Al Marzouqi finished third while Sheikh Majid Bin Abdullah Al Qasimi aboard Sinita took fourth spot.

Meanwhile, Italian rider Emmanuel Godiano qualified for the CSI3* Grand Prix sponsored by Cavalor.

A total of 41 riders took part in the Grand Prix. Godiano on Vasco 118 completed the round in 65.67.

UAE’s Abdullah Hamid Al Muhairi finished second and Irish rider Shane Breen ended third.

Syria’s Shadi Gharib crowned winner in the CSI1* category which was sponsored by Majestic Company.

The UAE team won the Nations Cup for riders in the juniors category, with the specifications of the two rounds, over hurdles of 120 cm high, sponsored by the Sharjah Sports Council.

Six teams representing six countries of the regional group in the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) competed in the juniors competition.

Riders from Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Saudi Arabia were in fray.

UAE team consisting Khaled Ahmed Al Hammadi, Issa Yousef Al Mulla, Abdullah Hamad Al Karbi and Saif Owaidah Al Karbi won the event. The Palestinian team came in second place while Egyptians took third spot.
