VIDEO: Former Pak cricketer Shahid Afridi urges UAE residents to ‘Stay at Home’

As the coronavirus outbreak has affected many countries including the UAE, several celebrities are using their clout to educate people about the global pandemic.

Actors, sportsmen, musicians, comedians and all those, who have huge fan following on mainstream or social media, have come out to raise awareness about the disease which has spread fast around the world and claimed thousands of lives in short span of time.

Pakistani cricket star Shahid Afridi, who is associated with Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD), urged the UAE residents to stay at home and follow the instructions of the UAE government to contain the spread of COVID-19.

In a video message, the cricket ace also advised the UAE residents to observe cleanliness and take care of all those around you who may need your help in the difficult times.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention on Thursday announced 210 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the UAE, bringing the total number of cases to 1,024.

The ministry also announced the full recovery of 35 more individuals after receiving medical care, bringing the total number of those cured of the virus in the UAE to 96.
