The eagerly anticipated new season of #letsmajaz is back, and set to open at the Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah on Feb.5, with a grand celebration of the rich musical traditions of Iraq.
The opening concert of the new season of #letsmajaz at Sharjah’s Al Majaz Amphitheatre on Friday promises to be an evening of tribute to Iraqi music with legendary artistes Ali Jasem, Mustafa Al Abdullah and Mahmoud Al Turki performing their most popular numbers.
Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council (SMC), announced the establishment of the Sharjah Media Club, during the third periodic meeting for the current year held by Sharjah Media Board of Directors, at Al Majaz Amphitheatre on Sunday.
The concert at which the Lebanese superstar enthralled her fans with a selection of her hits numbers, was broadcast live on Al Majaz Amphitheatre’s social media platforms in line with UAE’s preventive measures to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) has readied all of its hospitality, ecotourism and leisure destinations to receive visitors and tourists from around the world, while strictly adhering to the UAE government’s health and safety protocols to ensure the highest levels of protection of all their visitors, residents and staff.
The decision comes within the framework of activating the second stage of easing restrictions and reopening the various sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah by 50 per cent.
The length of the road leading to the Al Suhub area is 6.5kilometres and includes two lanes for ascent and one for the descent. The road slopes range between three percent and 9.7 per cent, which provide the best safety for visitors.
Being organised by the Sharjah Committee for National Day Celebrations with all necessary precautionary measures against the COVID-19 in place, the proceeds of the grand concert will go to support the humanitarian initiatives of the Big Heart Foundation in aid of refugees and the needy people around the world.
Carefully designed to align with Sharjah’s plan to offer child and family friendly public spaces, the Al Hira Beach site features 3,300m jogging and cycling tracks, sports facilities, and a children’s play area, and has an expert team of lifeguards at the beach.
Like in the previous years, a 10-minute long fabulous fireworks show will light up the night sky in Al Majaz Waterfront, counting down to the New Year. The leisure destination known for diverse dining experiences has been a favourite spot for families during New Year’s Eve.
