The Community Police Department of the Sharjah Police had embarked on the awareness programmes, which were announced before the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, which aimed at raising awareness among community members and attendees of Ramadan tents. The major objective of the programmes is to maintain safety and security, and prevent any form of negative behaviour from happening during the holy month.
The Sharjah Police General Directorate urges members of the society to take proper precautions when using insecticides to prevent the dangers of their misuse that may lead to death; therefore, they call for the importance of investigating all the certified and licensed pest-control companies in the Emirate.
Matar Saif Al-Shamsi, the UAE’s Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, received a delegation from the Sharjah Police, headed by Brig. Ahmed Abdulaziz Shuhail, Director General of Sharjah Reformatory and punitive Establishments (SRPE), who is currently on a visit to Jordan.

Sharjah Police special teams from the Anti-Economic Crime Department of the Criminal Investigation Department have successfully taken down a gang who attempted to trade in counterfeit bills of Dhs100 and 200 at grocery shops and gas stations in the Emirate. The counterfeit bills were worth Dhs45,500.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the driver who died was responsible for the incident. He hit the second car parked near the coast. Both the cars then fell into the lagoon.
Sharjah Police have always been keen on maintaining the safety and security of the Emirate by setting objectives with sights on the future, besides the great efforts made to increase the awareness of citizens through campaigns, and their attempt to identify the problems and assess ways to solve them.
The Sharjah Police have warned residents against any offensive actions or behaviours that seek to obstruct the procedures taken to protect the community.
Authorities have urged residents to stay at home and follow the ministry’s orders regarding the National Sterilisation Programme.
