Community members of the Pakistani diaspora living in Dubai have attended a flag hoisting ceremony at the premises of Pakistan Association Dubai as part of the UAE National Flag Day. The ceremony was attended by a large number of community members, teachers and school children participated in the event.

Students in the UAE enrolled in mainstream schools are studying at home since the authorities have barred them from attending their classes in line with safety measures against the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) since last month. This happened with over a dozen academic institutes exclusively catering for the students of determination (special needs) in Dubai.
The directives issued by the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to facilitate the testing of coronavirus at the homes for the people of determination has been widely acknowledged by the residents as well as people running special needs educational and rehabilitation centres in the country.
A delegation consisting of officials from the Educational ministry of Malawi has recently visited the Rashid Centre for People of Determination in Dubai to review the educational and rehabilitation programmes for its over 200 students of determination.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has approved an expansion plan for Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Special Education (MRC), Abu Dhabi, which will enable 118 new UAE National students with Autism taking the total number to 293.
