The evaluation of students' performance will be based on the Formative assessment by the teacher and in accordance with the central directives.
“The COVID-19 situation will be closely monitored and the deferment of the ICSE and ISC 2021 examinations will be reviewed and a final decision on the conduct of the board examinations will be taken on the 1st week of June 2021.”
The decision comes after widespread calls from students, activists and politicians for the government to cancel the Cambridge exams in view of the third coronavirus wave.
According to the datesheet, Physics paper of class 12 will be held on July 4 and the paper of Chemistry on July 6. These exams are only for the students of north east Delhi.
"All ongoing examinations of the board for classes 10 and 12, being held in examination centres in India and abroad, and scheduled between 19.03.2020 to 31.03.2020 (both dates inclusive), shall be rescheduled after 31st March, 2020," a statement by CBSE read.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will now be releasing the complete datesheet for the remaining board examinations of class 10 and class 12 on Monday.
The CBSE said that there are very few students of Class 12, mainly from Delhi, who have appeared in the examinations in only one or two subjects.
The UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) announced the final exams schedule, taking place from June 21 to 29, for Grade 12 students at public and private schools that apply the ministry's curriculum.
