The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) revealed that it had issued more than 4.433 million new entry visas since the beginning of 2020. In addition, it changed the status of 2,894 visas and extended 395,809 visas during the same period.
Omani citizens are required to present a negative PCR test result, provided the pre-examination is from accredited laboratories in their country, and that the validity period of the test does not exceed 48 hours from the date of the test.

They will be exempted from all fines related to Emirates ID and work permits, and also lifting all administrative restrictions if they leave the country within this period, ICA confirmed.
The service is obtained through 6 steps. First, the applicant has to log in to one of the two digital channels, set up a digital identity account, or access electronic services in case of prior registration.
The ICA said that, as of Sunday, August 1, with the exception of the authority’s employees, all other persons will not be allowed to enter the headquarters of ICA and its centres, except for those who received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, or for those who has a negative result of PCR, valid for not more than 48 hours.
