In her keynote address at the fair’s Professional Publishers Programme, Sheikha Bodour commended its focus on translations which, she said, can play a key role in boosting global collaboration between publishers and within the arger publishing ecosystem.
SCRF 2022 also will be home to 139 publishers from 15 countries who will showcase their latest book releases and best-selling titles.
Sheikha Bodour also congratulated the global publishing industry in attendance on truly understanding the role of ecosystem solidarity, especially in the past couple of years, and making a conscious effort to unite in its shared vision for the sector’s future.
At LBF 2022, in participation with a host of cultural, heritage and creative entities, Sharjah will lead a robust programme of literary and creative events that highlight its leading cultural project at the emirate’s pavilion.
SBA held several meetings to present initiatives, projects and major events led by the Authority at the local and international levels, including Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF), and Sharjah Publishing City (SPC) Free Zone.
