At the onset, Sheikh Mohamed conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to King Abdullah II and the emphasised the longstanding and historic relations between the UAE and Jordan.
Abdullah was vaccinated alongside his son and Crown Prince Hussein and his uncle Prince Hassan, the royal palace said in Twitter posts accompanied by pictures of them getting a shot in the arm.
Videos posted online showed a heavy police deployment in the Dabouq area near the royal palaces on the edge of Amman, while former crown prince Hamzah Bin Hussein said he was confined to his home.
Prince Hamzah signed a letter in which he placed himself at the monarch's disposal after a meeting on Monday with Prince Hassan, the king's uncle, and other princes, the royal court said.

This came in a phone call His Highness Sheikh Mohamed had Sunday with King Abdullah II of Jordan, wherein he affirmed that maintaining the security and stability of Jordan is an essential pillar of Arab security.
"I assure you, that the sedition has been nipped in the bud," Abdullah said in address read out in his name on state television.

Basem Ibrahim Awadallah, a long-time confidant of the king who later became minister of finance, and Sharif Hassan Bin Zaid, a member of the royal family were detained along with other unnamed figures, Petra said.
