The debut Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Tolerance Award was presented to three individuals from different parts of the world recognising their outstanding efforts in strengthening the cause of humanitarianism at a glittering ceremony held in Dubai on Wednesday.
The International Institute for Tolerance (IIT), Dubai, invites entries for the prestigious Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Tolerance Award, which will be awarded to five individuals or institutions in February 2020. Each recipient will receive a cash award of Dhs1 million. The entries will be accepted till Dec.31.
Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter, “As the #UAE's Year of Tolerance soon ends, today we honoured the teams & heroes working within fields of tolerance. A prime model of our continuation of Zayed's legacy in tolerance, entrenching the UAE as a global inspiration in humanity, is @MohamedBinZayed.”
Following the announcement of the jury panel, members held their first meeting, where they discussed the work mechanisms for the upcoming stage that includes reviewing the list of nominations received from the Technical Advisory Committee to determine the ultimate winners of the Award.
