I was shocked to read in your newspaper (Nov.22) that three out of four US children and teenagers killed in mass shootings over the past decade were victims of domestic violence
A US Navy sailor shot and killed two people at the historic military base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on Wednesday, military officials said, before fatally shooting himself. The shooter died from “an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound,”
Eyewitnesses said several demonstrators were killed late on Friday when unidentified men attacked and seized a building near the main protest camp in Iraq's capital.
Angry demonstrators and relatives of the victims gathered at the site of the shootings, chanting: "Civil war, now!” Protesters said police fired when demonstrators, including many coca leaf growers who backed Bolivia’s first indigenous president, tried to cross a military checkpoint.
Others were taken to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition, and some are in critical but stable condition, the TV stations reported.
Six people including a police officer and two suspects were killed during an hours-long shootout across a New York suburb not far from the Statue of Liberty, local officials said.
No one has been arrested in the shooting. The motive for the shooting is also unknown.
Mass-selling daily Bild said on its website the shooting took place in front of a synagogue. Bild reported that a hand grenade was also thrown onto a Jewish cemetery.
A suspect has been arrested and no further suspects are believed to be at large, Aalen police said.
