Fresh faces

Sometimes all it takes is one film to turn an unknown actor into a Hollywood star. This week we are taking a look at 10 young actors and actresses who are getting plenty of attention.

Some have already won major awards, while others are still relatively new to the industry. Australian actress Sophie Wilde first attracted attention in the horror film “Talk to Me,” and has since appeared alongside Nicole Kidman in “Babygirl.” British actor David Jonsson starred in the romantic comedy “Rye Lane,” before appearing in “Alien: Romulus.” He also won the BAFTA Rising Star Award in 2025.

Having a famous relative doesn’t hurt when it comes to getting noticed. Jaafar Jackson, Michael Jackson’s nephew, plays his uncle in the biographical film “Michael.” Ray Nicholson is also following in the footsteps of his famous father, Jack Nicholson, with roles in “Smile 2,” and “Novocaine.”

Mikey Madison has already won an Oscar for her performance in “Anora.” Cailee Spaeny received an award at the Venice Film Festival for playing Priscilla Presley. Both have several films coming up, along with many of the other actors featured this week. It will be interesting to see how their careers develop and which of them become familiar faces in Hollywood.
