The verdicts of West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala have proved that no one is indispensable in this world. Though the DMK were riding high and were confident, rather overconfident, of securing 200+ seats and form the government in Tamil Nadu, they were forced to bite the dust by the minnows of politics and actor Vijay, who is likely to form the Government in Tamil Nadu.
Both the Dravidian parties had ignored him as a novice. But, like MGR, Vijay too proved that he is the man the Tamil Nadu voters were waiting for to bail them out of the inefficient DMK Government. They just passed the five years on pure publicity and without any tangible development in Tamil Nadu. Added to it was his ever confrontational attitude towards the Central Government, which no one liked. Despite completion of the full term, most of the drainage work is still pending.
The less said about the battered roads and above all the law and order situation the better. Hope the new Chief Minister and his deputy will concentrate on developmental projects and not publicity.
