The biggest night of the year in the music world took place in Los Angeles, with audiences glued to the live broadcast as they waited to see the performances and the winners. This week we are taking a look at who took home the awards.
The biggest winners of the night were established icons as well as some newer singers. Lady Gaga was nominated in an impressive seven categories and she ended up winning two. She won Best Pop Vocal Album for “Mayhem,” beating the likes of Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. Gaga also won Best Dance Pop Recording for her single “Abracadabra.”
Bad Bunny appeared emotional after winning Album of the Year for “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” one of the main categories, as well as Best Música Urbana Album and Best Global Music Performance. His acceptance speech for Album of the Year was touching and powerful.
Justin Bieber’s Grammy performance was actually his first major live performance in four years. The response from the audience clearly showed he has not lost his touch as he sang his song “Yukon” in a stripped-down set with his guitar. His wife Hailey was in the audience and her reaction to his singing has been going viral on social media.
