We are in the middle of award season and the nominations for the Actors Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards, are finally in. This week we are taking a look at the nomina- tions as well as the snubs and surprises.
The category for best performance by a female in a leading role contains some interesting choices and perplexing omissions. The nominees include Jessie Buckley, Rose Byrne, Kate Hudson, Chase Infiniti and Emma Stone. In what many critics are calling a snub, Cynthia Erivo was not nominated for her role in “Wicked: For Good,” while her co-star Ariana Grande was nominated for her supporting role. Critics were also surprised at Infiniti’s nomination for the movie “One Battle After Another,” as her performance falls somewhere between the lead and supporting actress.
In the best performance by a main actor in a leading role category, Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Michael B. Jordan and Jesse Plemons are nominated. Since Chalamet just won the Golden Globe for his performance in “Marty Supreme,” critics are already calling him the winner, especially after beating DiCaprio.
In other news this week, turn to our Health pages to find out if you are drinking enough water or not. Dehydration is real and can cause a number of issues that can be easily dismissed or mistaken for something else. Symptoms of not being properly hydrated include having a dry mouth as well as headaches and fatigue.
