The Golden Globes returned in fabulous form this year, reminding us why they remain one of the awards season’s most exciting nights. This week we are taking a look at all the winners from the award show that many believe foreshadows what will come at the Oscars.
Jessie Buckley’s Best Actress win for the film “Hamnet” was one of the night’s most talked-about moments. Buckley beat Jennifer Lawrence, Renate Reinsve, Julia Roberts, Tessa Thompson and Eva Victor with her performance in the drama, which is based on the novel by Maggie O’Farrell. “Hamnet,” which tells the story of the family life of William Shakespeare and his wife, Agnes Hathaway, also went on to win Best Film.
Another huge moment at the awards was Timothée Chalamet winning Best Actor for his role in “Marty Supreme.” Chalamet has been the talk of Hollywood and social media over the past few months, not only for his performance in the film but also for his relationship with Kylie Jenner, who was there by his side. This win is no doubt only the beginning for Chalamet, who beat some big names, including George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ethan Hawke.
