The nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards have been announced and there are some interesting choices in there as well as some notably absent names. This week we are taking a look at the nominees and who missed out.
Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny could make Grammy history as the first Spanish-language artist to win Album of the Year. His album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” faces competition from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas and Justin Bieber. Interestingly, this year marks a milestone for hip-hop with three rap albums nominated for Album of the Year.
Lamar leads with nine nominations, followed by Lady Gaga with seven nods. However, notably absent are Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen. Swift’s album missed the eligibility window, while Wallen declined to submit his work in protest. Song of the Year nominees include Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Carpenter.
