The 77th Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles marking one of television’s biggest nights of the year. This week we are taking a look at the winners, the losers and those shocking moments that had everyone talking.
Netflix’s breakout British drama “Adolescence” swept every cat- egory it was nominated in, including a historic win for 15-year-old Owen Cooper, who became the youngest male actor ever to win an Emmy. It is always nice to see someone new winning and breaking records as well. There’s no doubt that the talented Cooper will go on to have a successful career.
Sci-fi psychological thriller “Severance,” despite leading with 27 nominations, was snubbed in key categories. However, actor Tramell Tillman did win for best supporting actor in a drama series. The show has run for two seasons and is executive produced and primar- ily directed by Ben Stiller.
