Have you ever found yourself in the middle of watching a really good film and realised halfway through that there are some seriously frustrating plot holes? This week we are taking a look at some of those movies whose plot holes defy logic and make us question what the directors were thinking.
There is no bigger film franchise than “Star Wars,” but even they can’t be perfect all the time. “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” came out back in 2015 starring Daisy Ridley and Carrie Fisher. Fans were left up in arms in a scene after Han Solo’s death when General Leia, played by Fisher, rushes to console Rey, played by Ridley, while ignoring Chewbacca who she has been friends with for decades.
The movie “Armageddon” was a huge hit when it came out back in 1998. The sci-fi film featured an ensemble cast which included Ben Affleck, Bruce Willis, Liv Tyler, Billy Bob Thornton and Owen Wilson. The film tells the tale of a bunch of oil drillers who are sent to space by NASA to destroy an asteroid which is threatening to hit Earth. Affleck commented on the giant plot hole in the movie by asking director Michael Bay if it would have been easier to train astronauts to become oil drillers. He was told to keep quiet!
