When it comes to our favourite actors and actresses, we all know the movies they are famous for. But do you ever wonder which movies roles they missed out on? This week we are taking a look at some of those missed roles that had the potential to ruin careers.
Haley Lu Richardson is probably best known for her role in the first season of the hit show “The White Lotus” which came out back in 2021. Around the same time she came close to starring in the film “Batgirl.” Apparently she fought hard to get the role but ended up losing out to actress Leslie Grace. However, after the movie was shot and finished, it was cancelled and never released. Richardson has spoken of her lucky escape and how she feels bad for those who starred in the film.
Timothée Chalamet’s career seems to be going from strength to strength with two Oscar nominations already under his belt. Following advise from Leonardo DiCaprio to stay away from superhero movies, Chalamet has avoided the trappings of comic book films. He did however audition for 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming” but did not get the role of Peter Parker. It went instead to Tom Holland whose name is now synonymous with the character which he has struggled to escape. Missing out on that role probably saved Chalamet in more ways than one as people have grown increasingly tired of the superhero genre.
In other news this week, turn to our Health pages to read about the dangers of consuming energy drinks. These drinks are high in caffeine and can cause our heart rate and blood pressure to change. It is best to stay away from these drinks and go with water or juices.
