While the world has gone through plenty of ups and downs this year one thing that has not let us down is television. This week we are taking a look at some of the best shows to come out this year and the choices have been endless.
The American historical drama “Shogun” had critics and fans talking from the first episode. Based on a 1975 novel by James Clavell, the show was created by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks and features an ensemble cast including Anna Sawai and Cosmo Jarvis. The series has already won plenty of awards and made history by becoming the first Japanese-language series to win a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. The second season has already been confirmed.
Comedy fans will no doubt be entertained by Ted Danson’s new role in the show “A Man on the Inside.” Dansen plays a retired widower who goes undercover in an upscale retirement home to do some investigating. The show was created by Michael Schur and is based on the documentary “The Mole Agent” by Maite Alberdi which came out in 2020. Mary Elizabeth Ellis and Stephanie Beatriz also star in the series which is bound to be renewed for another season.
