Watching television shows about food is a favourite thing to do for so many people. This week we are taking a look at seven of the best shows about food you need to be watching right now. Just be prepared to have some major cravings.

The television series “Lessons in Chemistry” is based on a book of the same name by Bonnie Garmus. Starring Brie Larson, the show tells the tale of a scientist who loses her job and then goes on to host a feminist TV-cooking show. Based in the 1960s, the show highlights all the challenges that Larson’s character faces by being a strong, independent woman. Only three episodes in and the show is already being hailed a success by critics.

I am a fan of “The Great British Baking Show” and have watched it for years. Now in its 14th season and with new host Alison Hammond, the baking show is once again pulling in huge audiences who tune in to watch contestants go through baking challenges each week as they get eliminated one by one. The only problem with this show is that you cannot watch it without wanting to eat something sweet afterwards.

In “José Andrés and Family in Spain” we see chef José Andrés travel through Spain with his three adult daughters Inés, Carlota and Lucia. The family celebrates Spanish food and culture on their trip as they visit many restaurants and try regional food from the places they visit. Again, this one is going to make you peckish.
