We all know the feeling of watching a great movie, being really into it, and then along comes a scene that brings those feelings to a screeching halt. An annoying plot hole in a good movie is not uncommon and this week we have dug out 11 of the best of them.

Director M Night Shyamalan is known for his unusual movies. In 2021 he brought out the sci-fi horror “Old,” starring Thomasin McKenzie, Abby Lee, Alex Wolff and Shyamalan himself. The movie is about a beach that has the power to make people age really quickly; quite an original idea really. However, audiences took umbrage with the very strange ending which involved Shyamalan’s own character giving up on watching the people on the beach at the last minute. I feel like it wouldn’t be a Shyamalan film without something completely out of the blue taking place.

We have gone back to 1998 to look at the plot of the popular movie “Armageddon.” The sci-fi action film stars Bruce Willis, Liv Tyler and Ben Affleck and tells the story of a meteor heading towards earth that needs to be blown up. NASA turns to a team of drill workers and trains them as astronauts instead of training astronauts to drill. This was pointed out by Affleck himself on the film’s own DVD commentary. The movie was a huge commercial success though and grossed $553 million worldwide against a $140 million budget becoming the highest-grossing film of 1998.

In other news this week, turn to our Fitness pages to read about the benefits of doing hot yoga. Yoga is well known for not only being good for the body, but also for the mind. In new research, hot yoga has been found to help with depression in some people.
