Dubai Roads and Transport Authority always keep drivers updated regarding the mandatory traffic lanes rules so drivers can enjoy their safe and smooth journey on the roads. To avoid any unnecessary fines and unfortunate accidents, it’s so important for drivers to pay attention and obey the roads and transport rules while driving on the busy roads or highways (“Dubai Police record 107 accidents in 8 months due to lane violations, urge motorists to prioritise safety on roads,” Sept,22, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, highlighted that failure to adhere to mandatory traffic lanes resulted in 107 accidents over the past eight months. These accidents led to the tragic loss of three lives, with 75 individuals sustaining varied injuries: two with severe injuries, 44 with moderate injuries, and 29 with minor ones. Reiterating Dubai Police’s commitment to road safety, Maj.Gen. Al Mazrouei stressed the importance of utilising smart systems and modern technologies to deter violations. He particularly emphasised vigilance around exits and intersections.

Driving vehicles on the busy highways is an art and it comes with a great responsibility. Careless driving not only causes fines and unfortunate accidents to a person who is driving on the road but also it harms others badly. I hope drivers will show social responsibility and adhere to the mandatory traffic lanes to prevent grave accidents and avoid incurring penalties in future.
