It’s a very good decision taken by the Abu Dhabi government to allot 3,000 free parking spaces for delivery bikes because businesses that offer home delivery through bikes contribute laudable service for the society (“Abu Dhabi allocates 3,000 free parking spaces for delivery bikes,” July 11, Gulf Today website).

According to the report, the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) in Abu Dhabi confirmed that the private parking spaces for delivery bikes are free. It provides 3,000 parking spaces, including 2,800 in Abu Dhabi and 200 in the city of Al Ain. ITC initially chose three locations for breaks for delivery bike drivers in Khalifa City in Abu Dhabi.

These facilities provide delivery bike drivers with quiet air-conditioned places equipped with seats and mobile phone charging points, as well as drinking water. The exterior structures provide a shaded space for parking bicycles, in addition to an air pump for bikes’ tyres. These started operations on June 22, 2023.

I am sure the companies that offer free home delivery through bikes will get huge relief in Abu Dhabi using such free parking spaces.
